Dunbar History Walk Submission Form
What is the Dunbar History Walk?
This is a multi-year project to acknowledge, remember, and honor places, people, and pioneers that are important to the Dunbar community. Individual plaques for these places and people will be installed around the sidewalk loop at Dunbar Park with new installations added annually.
How to enter submissions?
You may fill out this online form or pick up a paper one at the San Marcos Public Library, and the San Marcos Tourist Information Center. Completed paper forms can be returned to the San Marcos Tourist Information Center or mailed to 617 IH-35 North, San Marcos, TX 78666.
You may enter more than one submission. Submissions will be accepted each year from January 1 - February 28. The Submission Review Committee will research the full list of submissions and vote on the 10 to be installed each year. Submissions that meet the criteria but were not installed will be kept on a list that rolls to the following year. The installation of all submissions that qualify may take multiple years to complete.
