The San Marcos Studio Tour kicks off with a free opening night event featuring a group exhibition of studio participants at the MotherShip warehouse gallery, featuring one artwork from each artist. There will be a live printing demo, music by local musicians, a raffle giveaway, and complimentary drinks sponsored by local breweries. A map of all stops for the weekend studio tour will be provided. A catalog of tour participants featuring details on each artist, including images of work, and short statements about the artists, will be available for purchase during the event.

Artists will be showcasing their studio spaces and artwork during this inspiring and interactive two-weekend event. You will get an insider’s look into the artistic creative process - the messy workspaces, the paint-splattered floors, the at-home and garage studios, the cluttered art supplies, the inspirational walls of reference photos, and the clay-ridden wheels. These environments, though sometimes unpolished, are where the magic happens, and creativity flourishes.
