It’s time to think small! The December exhibition of the San Marcos Art League invites all creators, innovators and artists to participate in the SMAL Small Show and share your diverse and captivating collections of small-scale artworks, perfect for holiday gift giving and for adding a touch of artistic cheer to any home. This show will demonstrate that great art comes in all sizes, small in scale but powerful in presence. Intricate details and thoughtful craftsmanship can create a lasting impression on someone looking for a unique, handmade gift at a reasonable price. Artists should price to sell in a range that fits every budget.

Hanging art should not exceed 8” x 10”, including framing.

3D art should not exceed 6” x 6” x 6”.

Each artist will be allowed to submit 3 artworks on the initial application.

The Call for Art will be open from November 3rd through December 5th at 5pm. 

Entry is $10 for San Marcos Art League members and $20 for non-members. SMAL members should use the "Exhibit as a Member" page in the Members only area of the artleaguesmtx.org site to find their coupon code. 

Online Entry Submission Closes: December 5th at 5pm or when full.

Art Intake of Submitted Art (must be ready to display with hanging hardware): Sunday, December 7th from 1-4pm at the San Marcos Art Center at 117 N Guadalupe #101 

Show Reception: Friday, December 12th from 6-8pm

Exhibition Dates: December 10, 2025 - January 9, 2026

Art Pickup of unsold pieces: January 9 and 10 during open hours for the San Marcos Art Center
