San Marcos’ local food scene is anything but ordinary. From eclectic pairings and unexpected flavors to comforting classics done with care, the city’s restaurants bring creativity, heart, and unmistakable San Marcos flair to every plate. It’s a dining scene built on passion, personality, and a love for feeding the community - and that’s exactly what Savor San Marcos is all about.
Hosted by the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, Savor San Marcos is a 10-day celebration (January 23–February 1, 2026) of the city’s locally owned restaurants and the people behind them. It’s an open invitation to revisit favorite spots, discover new go-to meals, and experience the variety of dishes that make dining in San Marcos so memorable. Some restaurants may feature special menu highlights during the event, while others showcase the signature dishes locals already know and love.
Along the way, diners can also take part in daily giveaways for a chance to win $100 gift cards. Look for the daily contest poster at participating restaurants, snap a photo, and share it with #SavorSanMarcos to be entered. Giveaways happen twice daily after lunch and dinner, adding a fun bonus to an already delicious way to support local businesses and savor San Marcos - one meal at a time.
