Coffee Bar
The Coffee Bar is a cute San Marcos coffee shop! It's got that vintage and cozy feel that makes you want to linger. Pick a spot in front of the windows for excellent people-watching. Or enjoy your beverage at a bistro set on the sidewalk and sip your drink with your best furry friend. (He might even get a pup cup!)

This specialty coffee shop boasts a menu of not one but three chocolate coffee drinks, like the Loco Coco. Not only does the coffee taste good, it's Fair Trade Organic Coffee. If you prefer tea, you'll find classics like a London Fog, Matcha, or a Chai. We always recommend getting one of the shop’s super unique seasonal specials while they’re there! If you're hungry, snag one of the shop’s homemade scones before they go home with someone else.

Jo's Cafe
Jo's Cafe is a laid-back and atmospheric spot just a few blocks away from the heart of downtown. With outdoor tables and bike parking, pedal here or walk over with your dog. Enjoy coffee with breakfast–choose from a breakfast burrito, quesadilla, or a plate of tacos. Or come later and order a panini and kick back, fuel up, and stay awhile. The shop has all the classic coffee drinks, but they also have candy bar-inspired specialties that you'll want to try.

Redbud Roasters
If you're serious about your coffee, Redbud Roasters is a must-stop! It's both a coffee roaster and a specialty coffee shop. If you need your coffee hot and ready, let Redbud craft a specialty coffee drink like The Wild Onion or Mocha Borgia.

Redbud coffee is created from certified fair trade, organic, shade-grown coffee beans worldwide. Oh, and make sure you buy a bag or two of the shop’s roasted beans to take home. We guarantee you'll want to enjoy the sips of San Marcos long after your trip.

Tantra San Marcos
Tantra wears many hats. It starts the day as a cute coffee shop with a dog-friendly patio and lots of picnic tables. They offer specialty coffee concoctions, like its Cacaowie Wowie (an espresso and spiced chocolate drink). If you need a bite, the bagels are the go-to. For the lunch crowd, a vegan or pork banh mi sandwich, a Thai crunch salad, or a healthy taco selection all bring smiles to its guests. As the sun calls it a day, this spot turns into a fun happy hour destination with craft beer and live music.
